Luxury skin care and beauty products from brands like La Mer and SK-II have been cult faves for years. Are they as good as they seem? It depends...What's important to understand about any skin care product is that they work differently for everyone. Your skin type, sensitivity to certain ingredients, and even the location you live in can impact the product's effectiveness. Hence why some skin care "holy grail" items like the infamous Crème de la Mer (which I love), can often be underwhelming to many.
When buying expensive skin care or cult beauty favourites in general, always make sure you can return the item or at least get a store credit after you've tested it. This is something I ALWAYS do. Ain't nobody got the time or $$$ to waste $100 on a face mist or up to $300-$400 on a moisturizer (am I right?). Lastly, do plenty of research on the product and read reviews that are good, bad, and even ugly. The more reviews you read, the more educated you are on the product before you make the purchase. Ultimately, every person is going to have a different opinion on the product and it's up to you to test it out for yourself! :)
