Happy Thursday everyone! I'm back with another beauty post covering two products I've been testing out for a couple of weeks. TBH I had zero expectations for either of them, but I'm happy to report that I have nothing but good things to say! For full reviews, continue scrolling...
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar
I'm pretty picky about moisturizers (especially in the spring and summer). But recently the Renewed Hope in a Jar by Philosophy has quickly become a favourite! I love it because it has a super lightweight texture, hydrates my skin perfectly, doesn't have a strong fragrance and supposedly it refines your pores and does wonders for wrinkles.
So far I haven't noticed a huge difference in the size of my pores, and I don't have wrinkles to combat just yet *knock on wood*, so I can't tell you how it works in that department. But what I can tell you is that this moisturizer absorbs super effortlessly and doesn't leave a shiny film on my skin. Now that the weather is warming up, this is a huge plus!
Philosophy's Renewed Hope in a Jar retails for $62 at Sephora and comes in a 15mL version and a 60mL version. I've been using the larger of the two for around three weeks and I still have 80 per cent of the product left. Ultimately, do I think it's worth the $62 price tag? YES!
NUORI Perfecting Facial Oil
I use this Perfecting Facial Oil by NUORI in the evening along with my Philosophy moisturizer. If I'm lazy and don't want to apply them separately, I mix two or three drops with the cream on the palm of my hand and apply it on my face. The result? Hydrated, GLOWING skin that feels silky, smooth, and prepped for a good night's sleep.
Another thing that I love about this facial oil is that it's made of 100 per cent natural essential oils such as grape seed oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, and roeship oil to name a few. All of these ingredients give it a relaxing, spa-like scent that I'm a big fan of.
Also keep in mind that because this facial oil is 100 per cent natural, the shelf life is quite short. Each NUORI product has a "start-by-using" and an expiration date on the package. This means once the product is opened, you need to use every last drop! Especially because it retails for $69 USD. Ain't nobody want to waste precious product when you're investing in great skin care like this. Do you agree?
Have you tried products from Philosophy or NUORI? If so, which ones? If not, what hydrating skin care products are you loving at the moment? Let me know in the comment box below!
