I've been using Origins products on and off for years, so when the lovely team sent me the "A Perfect World Collection" to try, I knew I had to share my thoughts with you! To give you a brief overview, this line is formulated with white tea. This ingredient gives your skin a boost of antioxidants and helps prevent signs of premature aging. Another added bonus is that two of the products contain SPF so they're perfect to start incorporating into your skin care routine for spring and summer. Here are my thoughts on each product...
Antioxidant Cleanser ($30 CAD)
I've said it once before (ok I lied...a million times), but I'll say it again. I'm extremely picky about the cleansers I use. Many of them irritate my skin and give me that dry, tight feeling I can't stand. Surprisingly enough, this one didn't (YAY!). Instead, it left my skin hydrated and soft. Another great thing I noticed is that it has a gel-like consistency and doesn't foam up. Although I love the satisfying feeling of cleansing my skin with a mountain of foam, this one is silky and has a liquid consistency that feels great on the skin.
Age-Defence Treatment Lotion ($39 CAD)
I'm going to be honest with you. I like this treatment lotion, but I didn't see any positive changes that would make me run to Sephora and purchase it myself. Although it added a small boost of hydration to my skin, I didn't notice any other positive effects. That being said, if you're on the hunt for a toner that tightens your pores or brightens, I would opt with a different product...Sorry Origins!
Age-Defence Eye Cream with SPF 20 ($46 CAD)
I can't stress this enough. Using an eye cream that contains SPF in the spring and summer is so important! The skin under your eye is extremely thin and because of this, it's one of the first places you'll start to see signs of aging. This can be in the form of fine lines, wrinkles or age spots.
To combat these scary, naturally occurring symptoms, the SPF 20 in this product helps keep your under eye area protected from the sun's harmful rays. Does this mean it's going to completely stop you from developing find lines or wrinkles? Absolutely not. Although it helps prevent them from forming.
Now let's get into the formula...
Overall, I love that this product is hydrating and leaves a slight glow on your under-eye area after it's applied. On the other hand, I'm not a fan that it takes 15-20 seconds for the white layer of product to disappear while it's being applied. Will this stop me from using this eye cream? NO! I love that it has SPF 20 so I'm more than willing to spend the extra couple of seconds working this product into my skin. :)
Age-Defence Moisturizer with SPF 40 ($55 CAD)
Last but not least is the Age-Defence Moisturizer with White Tea and SPF 40. The main reason why I love this product is because it's two products in one. It protects my skin from the sun AND moisturizes. If I can kill two birds with one stone, why not? The fact that it also contains anti-aging properties is a huge bonus as well!
*Because this product contains SPF, make sure you only use it in the morning!
