I don't know what it is, but going on trips, even if they're short but sweet often fuels my creative energy and inspires me to create content. Especially when it's a short trip to NYC!
I won't say too much about my recent weekend getaway with Herbal Essences just yet because I'll be doing a separate blog post on that, but I will say that I had the best time with my BFF Nathalie from WoahStyle.com. This was the second time we've travelled to New York together and if you followed along on our Insta Stories, you know how eventful and crazy we were (in the best way possible of course).
On the trip, not only did I learn a lot, but there was something about being in a "foreign" city that inspired us both. So much so that we stayed up till 2 a.m. one night brainstorming ideas, chatting about the blogging "industry" and even ordered coffee at midnight to keep us fuelled up for a good conversation. If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen snippets on my story!
Long story short, I've come to the realization that travelling may be one of the best things you can do to inspire, or reinspire yourself. I never thought I would say this because I prefer to spend my money on materialistic items (probably not a surprise to you), but one of my goals for 2017 & 2018 is to travel more. A few places I would love to visit are Italy, Greece and France, the Middle East and Iceland. I don't know how realistic it is to say that I'll travel to all of these destinations in the next few years, but what I've learned about being a blogger and life in general is that anything is possible.
Is there a trip you or specific destination you've visited that changed your outlook on travelling? If so, what destination(s)?
