I've always despised wearing hats. In elementary school I remember my mom would force me to wear them on hot summer days and the second she dropped me off, I would stuff it in my bag. Fast forward 12 or so years and I still don't feel 100 per cent comfortable sporting them. For whatever reason they've always made me feel uncomfortable, and to be completely honest, pretty self conscious. Considering this feeling has been engrained in my head for years I never thought I would become a hat kinda guy.
My mindset towards hats did a complete 360 last week after I was gifted this leather Saxon cap from Rudsak. After staring at it in my closet for a few days, I threw it on, looked in the mirror and seconds later I had a smile from ear-to-ear on my face. For once I actually loved the way a hat looked on me! What lesson did I learn from this experience? Always have an open mind when it comes to fashion-related items. Secondly, don't jump to conclusion about loving or hating something right off the bat. For years I thought I wasn't a fan of hats, but its because I never found the right one.
Considering I've become more open-minded about hats recently, I decided to link five that I'm loving for summer 2017. The black faux leather ASOS cap is a cheap and cheerful version of the Rudsak one I'm sporting and the Balenciaga? I mean...How cool is it?!
