The Hazelton Hotel

Although I live in Toronto, there's something special about packing a bag and spending a night or two at a hotel. Over the last couple of years, my go-to spot has been The Hazelton Hotel. There's something about it that instantly makes me feel at home and I love that I can sit back, relax and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer without feeling like I'm vacationing in my own backyard!

The location

The Hazelton Hotel, which is Toronto's only member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is located in one of my favourite areas in the city called Yorkville. Yorkville is great because it has a neighbourhood feel, yet it's located smack dab in the centre of the city. It's also home to a selection of amazing shops such as: Zara, Club Monaco, Holt Renfrew, Gucci, Chanel, Hermès and Louis Vuitton to name a few. If you're a fan of luxury fashion brands and boutiques, you'll love this area.

Yorkville is also filled with a number of incredible restaurants and cafes as well! Aside from ONE at The Hazelton Hotel, I'm a huge fan of Nervosa (they have the best truffle pasta...EVER), Dynasty (one of my favourite dim sum spots in the city) and if you're on the hunt for a great coffee, you have to stop by Sorry Coffee Co.

The Food

One of the most memorable things about The Hazelton Hotel is the food. Every time I visit, I always make sure to order room service from ONE Restaurant. Somehow they've perfected the art of delivering the food while its piping hot but best of all, the quality, taste and presentation of the dishes is impeccable. My favourite items to order are the cinnamon french toast, buttermilk pancakes and the shakshouka.

The Spa

There's nothing more enjoyable to me than spending an afternoon at the spa. The one located within the hotel is amazing because they use Valmont products, a line of luxury skin care and beauty products from Switzerland. So far, I've been lucky enough to experience the 60 minute Hazelton signature scrub along with the 60 minute deep tissue massage. Each of these treatments were heavenly to say the least! If you're planning a trip to Toronto, or if you live in the city and want to spoil yourself for a weekend getaway, The Hazelton Hotel is an amazing place to stay. It's quickly become one of my favourite hotels in the city and it has only gotten better each time I've visited!
