My Top Unisex Scents for Spring 2019

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am that spring is just around the corner. Aside from sunshine, warm weather and busting out my favourite transitional jackets, there’s so much to look forward to.

Although, one of my number one highlights has to be switching out my heavier winter fragrances for lighter and fresher variations. That’s why I decided it would be the perfect time to highlight four of my top UNISEX scents for spring 2019!

CHANEL Paris - Biarritz

The first fragrance on my list is an incredible scent by Chanel. It’s part of the Les Eaux De Chanel collection, a trio of scents that are inspired by three cities that were fundamental to Coco Chanel and her life.

Biarritz, a coastal town in France where Coco Chanel opened her first couture house, has refreshing notes of: lily of the valley, Sicilian tangerine and grapefruit. The most interesting component? A synthetic molecule that mimics the scent of fresh air. I don’t know how this is possible, but it goes to show that Chanel is constantly innovating.

Overall, Paris - Biarritz is fresh, citrusy, floral and reminds me of a sophisticated vacation in the South of France. What’s not to love?

Jo Malone Dark Amber & Ginger Lily

This scent has been a go-to of mine for years. As a matter of fact, this is my third bottle and I’ve even treated myself to the candle version several times!

What I love most about this scent is that it’s unlike any fragrance I’ve ever experienced before. It’s exotic and luxurious, yet calming at the same time. The notes found in Dark Amber & Ginger Lily are: amber, black cardamom, ginger, pink pepper, jasmine, leather, sandalwood and Kyara wood.

If you’re on the hunt for a sexy, mysterious day to night scent, this fragrance is a fantastic option.

Diptyque Eau Duelle

Eau Duelle is an ode to travel and vanilla. It’s inspired by a journey along the Spice Route and is a combination of spices one would find along the way.

Formulated with bourbon vanilla and cardamom, this scent is sweet, spicy and sultry. It also contains: pink pepper, saffron, juniper, black tea and musk.

Many of these components are on the heavier side, but the vanilla balances out the notes perfectly and creates the most amazing exotic scent.

Tom FORD Soleil Blanc

Soleil Blanc is the scent of warm weather, sunshine and spending an afternoon on the beach.

Notes of coconut milk are blended with: pink pepper, cardamom, pistachio, bergamot, amber and tonka. This combination smells sweet and creamy with a hint of warmth. If you’re looking for a quintessential fragrance for spring that will carry you into summer, look no further.

Tip: If you don’t want to invest in the eau de parfum version that retails for $175 CAD and up, opt with this body spray. It’s a fraction of the price, smells identical and stays on your skin all day long.
